Job SummaryAs an Experienced Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely medication.You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities* Assist licensed pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and providing patient education. * Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.* Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for potential interactions. * Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow, including answering phone calls and responding to customer inquiries. * Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to company policies and procedures. * Develop strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.* Participate in ongoing education and training programs to maintain knowledge and skills in pharmacy practice and patient care. * Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions and patient information. Essential Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). * Previous experience in a retail or healthcare setting preferred.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Basic computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems and software. Preferred Qualifications* Six months of experience in a retail or healthcare setting. * Previous work experience with blithequark. * Strong math skills, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medications.* Familiarity with inventory management and pharmacy operations. * % certification preferred.
