Position OverviewISG's Technology Modernization solutions support the transformation of large and medium size enterprises' business and IT environments leveraging robust cyber security capabilities across on-premise and cloud-based IaaS, PaaS and SaaS deployment and delivery models. The Consulting Manager (CM) position is viewed as a key resource to deliver these cyber security transformation and sourcing solutions.The CM is expected to independently manage medium sized project teams, and to be fully proficient in delivery of cyber security strategy, transformation and sourcing advisory and consulting service offerings including:• Cyber Security Sourcing• Cyber Security Strategy, Assessments and Transformation• Multiple Industry Standard Frameworks (e.g., NIST-CSF, CIS Top 20, ISO)• Multiple Security Disciplines (e.g., IAM, DLP, SOC/SIEM)• Cloud Security (e.g., CASB, MS-AIP, AWS)• Infrastructure and Security Architecture• DevSecOps design and implementation approaches• Network Security models including SDN and NextGen security platformsResponsibilitiesTypical engagements the Technology Modernization CM will support, and sometimes lead include:• Workshops to inform clients about digital transformation, cyber security sourcing / provider ecosystems and market trends and developments surrounding emerging security technologies, security technology transformation through various delivery and deployment models, security architecture implications of cloud migration and adoption• Assessment of existing security technology organizations, environments and delivery environment• Security Architecture Strategies (Identity and Access Management Strategy and Design, Perimeter, Edge, Defense in Depth, Application specific, etc.)• Vulnerability Management program design and implementation• Governance, Risk and Compliance program design & implementation• Privacy assessments for GDPR, CCPA, etc• Support sales in the development of delivery solutions, including representing the delivery practice to prospective clients during the sales process• Participates as an engagement SME and delivery consultant on one or more engagements, working independently and/or leading a team of advisors to complete deliverables• Supports the internal ISG practice team in development of skills, continuous improvement of delivery methods and sales collateral, and development of market and social artifacts to promote the practice and improve revenue generation.While ISG enjoys a solid point of view with relevant methodologies, design approaches and artifacts, the CM is key to assuring continuous improvement of our delivery methods and solutions to meet market needsThe Technology Modernization CM supports (and sometimes leads) one or multiple technology modernization engagements based on the security solutions portfolio identified above, with a small to mid-size teams of ISG consultants based on the specific engagement. These engagements may be part of a broader program-level engagement, may focus on a specific area of the technology organization or may span widely across technology or even business operations components.Required SkillsetsStrong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of client leadership including C-Suite. • Travel 30%-60% required (Post Covid-19)• 1+ years of Cyber Security experience across 2-3 security disciplines• 2+ years in Information Technology, working in a technical delivery role for complex security solutions is a plus• 1+ years of consulting experience ideally focused on security assessments for enterprise organizations• Competency in one or more of the following key disciplines is also desirable:• Sourcing or working with third party Managed Security Services Providers (MSSP)• Security Operations Center (SOC) / Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)• Identity and Access Management (IAM)• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)• Cloud Security experience• DevSecOps practices and bolthires/CD automation and continuous delivery disciplines• Red Team / Blue Team exercises• Vulnerability Management• Governance, Risk and Compliance• Emerging network security technologies (SDN, ACI, NSX, micro-segmentation, etc.)• Knowledge of Security Automation practices (SOAR)Education• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in a technical or scientific field or a business degree with relevant work experience.• MBA/MS or other advanced degree(s) desirableCertifications (desirable)• CISSP or Associate CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GCCC, GPEN, CISA, CISM, CompTIA+• AWS Certified Security specialty, Azure Security Engineer• DevOps and/or DevOps Architecture certifications desirableAt ISG, we don't just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our clients, and our communities.
