About the Role We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Underwriting Operations and Customer Service to lead our customer-focused team. As a customer advocate and executive, you will steward the customer experience journey and deliver effortless experiences that live up to our brand promise. You will continually create, develop, and evolve digital experiences at key points within the customer lifecycle, integrating compliance and automated solutions as needed. Your goal will be to develop, build, and lead a best-in-class customer experience that meets the current expectations of users and partners, with a focus on personalized, responsive, and frictionless interactions. Key Responsibilities Direct the overarching strategy, scale, and performance of our customer experience umbrella, including customer success, agent experiences, and underwriting operations Develop and implement a strategic outline and pathways of work for the customer experience team, with a focus on current and future goals Manage key relationships with leaders inside and outside of the organization to ensure excellent customer experience and outcomes Establish high-impact relationships with the team and develop leaders to ensure excellence is maintained throughout the business sector Oversee the development of CX forecasts, planning, and measurement of key data points, including financial and productivity metrics Lead team leadership, including building, scaling, and developing teams with intention, and advocating for the needs of the team to manage timelines and deliverables Drive teamwork with customer experience in mind, including setting and meeting metrics and deliverables around policy services and customer experience Develop and drive customer experience strategic initiatives, including managing partners, establishing and measuring metrics, and strategizing for growth and future lines of business Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required 5 years of experience in a senior operating role leading as a Director, VP, or Executive level for customer-facing organizations 10 years of overall P&C Insurance Industry experience is required Proven track record of leading senior leaders and driving results Executive presence, business acumen, and the ability to drive strategy and deliverable outcomes Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building Ideally, a combined background of post-sale and sales experience in a high-volume, transactional-focused environment Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry is required, with knowledge of workers' compensation highly preferred Preferred Qualifications Excellent process management and data analysis skills High ability to use data and metrics for decision-making and strategic process mapping Strong empathy for customers and team members, and a passion for revenue and growth Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models Analytical and process-oriented mindset Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement Enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others Excellent communication and presentation skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $195,000 - $250,000 USD.
