Job SummaryAs a Retail Customer Service Cashier at blithequark, you'll be the face of our brand, providing fast, friendly, and accurate services to our customers. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean places while having friendly faces. You'll perform various duties, including general customer service, balancing a cash register, and ensuring proper food safety conditions.You'll also have the opportunity to cross-train in other departments, such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles. Key Responsibilities* Provide exceptional customer service, including helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs. * Balance a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws. * Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs. * Perform additional duties as needed, including cross-training in other departments. Essential Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or experience preferred. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and safe working area. * Excellent communication and customer service skills.* Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures. * Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Preferred Qualifications* Previous retail or customer service experience. * Experience working in a fast-paced environment. * Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
