Job SummaryAs an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Food Mart Operations and Customer Experience, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our food mart. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and visually appealing store, providing top-notch customer service, and ensuring that all products are displayed and stocked correctly.Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management, while your adaptability and multi-tasking abilities will allow you to navigate the demands of a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities* Welcome and make eye contact with all customers when they enter the store, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere* Represent blithequark in a professional manner at all times, consistently maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with customers* Perform the Four Steps of Customer Service with all customers to ensure an excellent Mystery Shop review and total customer satisfaction* Offer current promotional items to all customers, ensuring they are aware of our latest offers and deals* Offer credit card application and information to all customers, providing them with convenient payment options* Maintain all displays and coolers to ensure they are visually appealing to customers, ensuring that all products are displayed and stocked correctly* Ensure that all promotional signage is in good condition and displayed in key areas to maximize effectiveness* Ensure that all prices are displayed correctly for each product, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail* Remove all damaged and expired items from the shelf and set aside for the Station Manager, ensuring that only high-quality products are available to customers* Keep the food and beverage area clean, neat, and well stocked with all necessary items, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers* Ensure that all hot food and beverage items are fresh and properly prepared at the correct temperature, maintaining food safety and quality standards* Sanitize all coffee and fountain machines, roller grills, and all other machines and equipment that come into contact with hot foods and beverages, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment* Accurately conduct all cash, debit, credit transactions on cash register (POS), maintaining accuracy and attention to detail* Perform simple math calculations, ensuring that all transactions are processed correctly* Make sure all money is dropped in the safe according to company policy and procedures, maintaining security and accuracy* Maintain the outdoor equipment (pumps, water bucket and squeegees, paper towel dispenser), ensuring that all equipment is in good working order* Remove and dispose of trash and debris outside/inside, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers* Sweep and mop floors, ensuring that all areas are clean and well-maintained* Clean station restrooms, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for customers* Follows Shift Duties schedule for correlating shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively* Check for valid identification for all credit card transactions and age restricted items (Lotto/Tobacco/Alcohol), ensuring that all transactions are processed correctly* Understands how the car wash operates and how to reset it if needed (only applicable for locations with car wash), ensuring that all equipment is in good working order* Performs all other duties assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentEssential Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent preferred* Basic aptitude and understanding of POS preferred* Some customer service experience is preferred* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required* Adaptability, multi-tasking, and sound decision-making abilities are required and essential to the success of this role* Computer proficiency is also requiredPreferred Qualifications* Previous experience in a food mart or retail environment* Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures* Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detailSkills and
