As a key member of our IT department, you will directly impact blithequark's data culture. The company's training, understanding, and effective utilization of data through Data Management statutes depend firmly on our team's shoulders, and you are a vital part of the group. This position focuses on one or more of the following Data Management Capabilities: Data Education (Develop a Data-Driven organization) Data Stewardship (Identify and Engage our Data Specialists) Data Quality (Ensure that blithequark has Trusted Data to find success) Metadata Management (Inventory our Data Resources and Business Concepts) Master Data Management (Master our Data) Data as an Asset (Make the most of our valuable Data assets) Security and Compliance (Ensure mindful use and care of our Data)Key Responsibilities As a Team Lead, IT Data Governance and Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: Leading the creation, maintenance, and rollout of blithequark's Data Management Capabilities Being responsible for the Capability's workflows, standards, processes, policies, and guidelines expected to make it a reality Being an essential part of the Data Management Program Management from a Data Quality capacity side Collaborating across the company to enable Data Management and data Quality guidelines Working with our Data Management Leadership Board to define and monitor key Metrics and KPIs for each Capability Researching, reviewing, recommending, and rolling out new software Working with the Data Management Platform team(s) to automate Capability processes Acting as the Product Owner for Capability Products Being the Capability's representative and the main advocate Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field At least 5 years of experience in Data Analysis and/or Data Management Experience implementing one or more Data Management Capabilities in an organization Experience creating and following metrics to determine adoption/progress of data management capabilities Experience working with Business Intelligence products, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses Experience working with sensitive data (e.g., PII, SPII, PHI) and relevant regulatory approaches that govern such data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.) Experience managing Data Quality and Observability tools Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Change management experience identifying downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting Experience automating data management processes/workflows using market-leading data management products Detailed experience delivering data management artifacts, such as data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data development controls, and data element-level data quality controls Experience as a Data Steward (acting as a data expert, analyzing, and investigating data access, acting as a product owner for a data product, data space, etc.) Experience working in Agile and DevOps structures Airline, Aviation, Travel, or Hospitality experience Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: Working knowledge of SQL Solid understanding of Data and Analytics concepts Data Management certifications: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional) Ability to connect the communication gap by translating technical management concepts to the Business Ability to be flexible in an evolving work model and able to pivot quickly on areas of focus Ability to manage projects and teams from idea generation through executionCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.As a Team Lead, IT Data Governance and Data Entry Specialist, you will have access to: Ongoing training and development opportunities Mentorship and coaching from experienced professionals Opportunities to work on high-impact projects and initiatives A collaborative and dynamic work environment Work Environment and Company Culture At blithequark, we pride ourselves on our inclusive and diverse company culture.
