Key Responsibilities The Customer Solutions Architect will have a multifaceted role with the following key responsibilities: Drive Value with blithequark : Work closely with the blithequark Customer Success Manager and customer teams to onboard customers, drive adoption, and use Active Metadata to automate and innovate. Architecture Partnership & Strategy : Serve as a trusted advisor to understand the customer's business, analyze their existing estate and integration needs, and lead strategic workshops to design optimal blithequark architectures. Custom Solution Discovery & Design : Work with customer champions, technical leads, and stakeholders to understand problem statements, scope solutions, and provide recommendations on how blithequark can be part of the solution. Technical Enablement : Advise and accelerate customer technical teams by conducting API enablement sessions, providing sample scripts, and running working sessions with customer engineers. Custom Solution Implementation : Create proofs of concept or full solutions that extend blithequark's capabilities for customers. Innovation : Drive customer value by using Active Metadata for automation and innovation, such as auto PII detection, active metadata management, and metadata-powered AI. Facilitation with Product & Engineering : Bridge the gap between the Customer Experience group and Product and Engineering, ensuring customer feedback informs product development. Thought Leadership : Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to build thought leadership and expertise in the Active Metadata category. Essential Qualifications To be a successful Customer Solutions Architect at blithequark, you should have: 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer and customer-facing technologist (e.g., Solutions Architect, Consulting, Field Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer). A passion for digging deep into problem statements to design the right solutions that bring the most value to customers. The ability to assess the technical and business acumen of customer stakeholders and communicate effectively with various personas. Experience in solving complex problems and trailblazing through uncharted territory, both deep and wide technically. Extensive knowledge across different types of tooling in the data estate, including OLAP/OLTP databases, data warehouses, ETL, BI, etc. Proficiency in SQL and a good understanding of Enterprise Data Warehousing and Data Lake architecture, with experience in Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar. Experience with Python scripting and a desire to deepen knowledge in current technologies and learn new ones. Knowledge of Cloud architecture fundamentals, including highly available fault-tolerant systems, IAM policies, security groups, and networking. Experience or knowledge of data flow architecture, orchestration, transformation tools, and consuming REST APIs for automation and system design. Expertise in managing customer challenges to resolution.
