Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baggage, cargo, and mail. Your daily tasks will include:* Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.* Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions. * Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. * Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to the customer's destination. * Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Work Environment and ScheduleAs a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.Your schedule will be based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority and the needs of the team. What You Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you'll need:* Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data. * Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles. * Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. * Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.* Have a valid driver's license. * Proficiency in English. * Pass a physical ability test (PAT).
