About the RoleAs an Experienced Customer Development Manager at blithequark, you will be responsible for leveraging insights and analytics to support our top national customer, bolthires. This role focuses on executing category strategies aligned with customer priorities, analyzing data to identify growth opportunities, and making actionable recommendations to drive category and customer growth.You will manage data sources, track category performance, and ensure superior client satisfaction through deep analytics and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities• Data Management: Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs & assortments, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service. • Communication: Communicate complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, using clear and concise language to ensure understanding.• Analytical Excellence: Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry and provide effective information to deliver sales, margin, and market development goals. • Data Analysis: Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. • Category Performance: Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to ensure that our customers are meeting their goals. • Performance Metrics: Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor specific performance metrics and goals relevant to each business as part of regular, scheduled business reviews.• Reporting: Create and deliver effective reports using POS data, Syndicated Data, and account-specific database information in presentation-ready formats. • Supplier Performance: Evaluate and make recommendations on supplier performance to enhance the company's inventory & fill rate objectives. • Customer Insights: Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth. • Client Satisfaction: Ensure superior client satisfaction by providing hands-on deep analytics and contributing to team problem-solving.Requirements• Education: Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector; Adult Beverage preferred; bolthires experience a value add. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to incorporate and interpret data from multiple unrelated data sources into concise action-oriented recommendations. • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, as well as expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (Numerator/Spectra, etc).• Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations. • Leadership: Assertive leadership and decision-making skills with an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems. • Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
