Responsibilities As an Airport Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our passengers, resolving issues related to baggage, and utilizing computer software to track and catalog luggage. Your key responsibilities will include: * Assisting passengers with their baggage pick-up and resolving issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged items * Utilizing computer software to track and catalog luggage, ensuring accurate and efficient processing * Handling customer interactions with class, providing efficient, effective, and professional service * Performing other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position * Lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling and moving items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly, and repetitively lifting weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces Basic Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following basic qualifications: * Must be a local (in-state) resident * High School diploma or GED * Valid In-State Driver’s License * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen * Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 * Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security * Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs * Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Previous experience in customer service or a related field * Knowledge of airport operations and procedures * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and poise * Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Knowledge of airport operations and procedures, with the ability to navigate complex systems and processes * Ability to lift/carry/push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly, and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
