About the Role As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for ensuring that every customer who walks through our doors or interacts with us online has a delightful experience. Key Responsibilities Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every interaction is courteous, friendly, and efficient. Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience. Process customer purchases on assigned cash registers, handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed, and maintain a high level of accuracy with transactions. Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade-up and/or companion items to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain the store's appearance by keeping counters and shelves clean and well-merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records as required. Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss and ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Assist with displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and complete resets and revisions as directed. Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine, and suggest promotional photo products. Assume web pick-up responsibilities, monitor orders, fill orders, and deliver them to customers as they arrive at the store. Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance. Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned by management. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. You should have a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, we prefer candidates with at least six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with blithequark or a similar company is also a plus. Fluency in English is preferred, but we welcome applicants who can communicate effectively with our diverse customer base. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively. Strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently. Ability to work in a team environment and support colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals. Basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately. Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the store to perform tasks.
