Operations Assistant (Part-Time)
About the roleA Protect Life Michigan (PLM) Operations Assistant carries out the mission of PLM by facilitating administrative tasks that support the daily operations, onboarding, gifts processing, and other functions that keep the organization running smoothly. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this individual will help ensure that Protect Life Michigan’s databases and processes are maintained and accurate. This is a part-time position. The candidate will typically work 16-20 hours per week.Remote but must reside in (or be willing to relocate to) Michigan, with the capacity to travel for work on occasion. What you'll do• Facilitate staff onboarding by completing tasks such as registering for support raising bootcamps, booking travel, creating email accounts, mailing materials, sending training access, and setting up accounts in software platforms. • Monitor and review the "donor namestorming" wait bin as part of onboarding processes. • Monitor credit card transactions in Bill.com to ensure proper financial oversight• Regularly monitor and manage the organization’s Gmail inbox to address incoming inquiries and correspondence.• Conduct monthly audits of bolthires Drive to ensure it remains organized and clutter-free. • Perform monthly reviews of Mailchimp to maintain clean and efficient email campaign management. • Assist with the drafting, review, and implementation of organizational policies. • Review suspected phishing emails and take appropriate action to protect the organization’s cybersecurity. • Contact donors with expiring payment methods to ensure continuity of contributions. • Audit Neon CRM accounts to identify and merge duplicate profiles.• Periodically attend or assign staff to attend events and outreaches to assist in the missional work of Protect Life Michigan• Assist in other projects as neededQualifications• Commitment to the pro-life movement and the mission of Protect Life Michigan. • Ability to commit to the position for at least one year. • A positive view of support-raising and/or fundraising• Ability to effectively communicate in writing and in person• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to organize effectively.• Proficiency in bolthires Applications (Docs & Sheets), Canva, Mailchimp, and can easily learn new computer applications. Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred but not required. • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and productively. The salary and all expenses associated with this position will be fundraised by the candidate. Protect Life Michigan will provide training and coaching in order to help the candidate reach full support and will pay the candidate while they raise support.
