Online Writing Teacher ( 6th-12th)

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching various subjects, particularly in mathematics, literacy education, and creative writing. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive learning environment for students. The Teacher will be responsible for mentoring students, assessing their progress, and adapting instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.Responsibilities• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. • Teach subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Literacy Education. • Utilize learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding. • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning atmosphere. • Provide tutoring and academic advising to support student success. • Conduct standardized testing and assess student performance regularly. • Mentor students in their academic pursuits and personal development.• Engage in curriculum development and collaborate with colleagues on educational initiatives. • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress. • Foster an inclusive environment that accommodates special education needs and diverse learning styles. Requirements• Proven experience working with children in an educational setting. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Proficiency in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.• Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development is highly desirable. • Familiarity with AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, proofreading, copy editing, and writing skills. • Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus. • Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education is beneficial. • Understanding of childhood development principles and literacy education practices. • Ability to engage in public speaking and mentor students effectively.
