Pay:$25/hrTitle: Fiber Records Specialist (Network Records Specialist) -GIS Data CoordinatorWe are recruiting for a Fiber Records Specialist (Network Records Specialist) -GIS Data specialist here in the Westford, MA area.In this role you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our client’s fiber optic network records. This includes interpreting design plans and construction drawings, making necessary adjustments to cable routes, splice locations, and slack, and updating the system of record accordingly. You will collaborate with end users, internal teams, and the 811 group to resolve issues, modify records, and maintain a comprehensive and reliable Fiber Management Database. The ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are crucial for success in this role.This is a great way to get your foot in the door with an amazing Telecom Client. This is a hybrid role 3 days office, 2 days remote (WFH)Role:Interpret design plans and construction drawings to identify pertinent information for updating the system of record. Adjust cable routes, splice locations, and slack based on design plans and construction drawings. Interact with end users to determine the best solutions for modifying database records. Handle help desk tickets related to fiber records, ensuring accurate and appropriate changes are made while considering downstream impacts.Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to address help desk tickets and implement necessary changes. Work closely with the internal 811 group to verify data, resolve questions, and update the Fiber Management Database. Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team. Ensure strong attention to detail and follow-through in all aspects of fiber record management. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills.Maintain organizational skills to plan for and meet tight deadlines. Effectively multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. Knowledge of OSP/ISP Fiber Environments is a plus. Familiarity with relational databases is a plus. Job Knowledge:What will catch our eye:1-3 years of experience in the telecommunications field with data entry into databases. Associate's degree or equivalent experience or certification in GIS or equivalent work experience preferred. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Visio, and GIS mapping applications such as but not limited to MapInfo, OSPI, QGIS, and other relevant programs as required.Minimum one (1) years of professional level experience editing, updating asset and/or GIS data from engineering designs, CAD files, redlines, mark bolthires. • Minimum one (1) year of experience reading engineering, design, as-built, and redline drawings.
