As a Customer Service Advocate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to blithequark's members, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs in a professional and empathetic manner. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring member satisfaction, resolving issues, and promoting the organization's mission and values. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality customer service by applying blithequark's Five Service Principles, educating members, family, providers, and caregivers about benefits and plan options.Accurately explain benefits and plan options in person, via email, or telephonically, ensuring that members have a clear understanding of their coverage and services. Provide follow-up support to members, clarifying issues, determining causes, and identifying and explaining solutions, escalating complex issues to management or other departments as required. Consistently meet or exceed departmental standards, including quality, productivity, and adherence to schedule and attendance, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and efficiency.Respond to member and internal staff inquiries in a timely and professional manner, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly and effectively. Participate in member calling projects as assigned by management, supporting the organization's goal of membership retention and growth. Follow policies, procedures, and job aids to maintain efficient and compliant operations, communicating suggestions for improvement and efficiencies to management. Document transactions accurately, completing applicable member forms and summarizing actions taken in the computer system, adhering to departmental standards and HIPAA requirements.Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of call center or related customer service experience, with a strong focus on providing exceptional support and resolving issues effectively. 1-2 years of prior experience with Medicare benefits, including Medicare Advantage Plans, preferred, with a solid understanding of healthcare, insurance, or pharmacy industry operations. Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations, with excellent communication, data entry, and computer skills.Professional and pleasant telephone manner, with the ability to handle large call volumes while providing excellent customer service. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a healthcare, insurance, or pharmacy environment, with a strong understanding of senior healthcare and Medicare benefits. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to compliance standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in resolving complex issues.Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
