Job SummaryAs an Overnight Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries, approving consumer loans, and providing exceptional support to our customers. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive timely and accurate information, and that our organization's credibility is maintained.This is a remote position, and you'll be required to work from home after completing a one-week training period. Key Responsibilities* Make outbound and receive inbound calls to customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. * Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts, ensuring that customer data is up-to-date and secure. * Use basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions. * Speak clearly, concisely, and effectively, listening to and understanding information and ideas as presented verbally.* Maintain a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism when speaking to customers, even in tense situations. * Follow written and/or verbal instructions, working within the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of blithequark. * Process card payments accurately and efficiently. * Perform the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems. * Review applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan, following up with customers to clarify important points.* Finalize loan details and keep customers informed of rules and obligations. * Remain up-to-speed regarding lending and other financial services, staying current with industry developments and best practices. * Create and renew records, ensuring that customer information is accurate and secure. * Identify customer needs, exploring all options available to customers and providing personalized support. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, adapting quickly to changing company needs.* Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously. Essential Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. * Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a financial services or related industry. * Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and problem-solving. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.* Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure, navigating tense situations with ease. * Proficient with technology, especially computers, software applications, and phone systems. Preferred Qualifications* 2+ years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a financial services or related industry. * Experience with loan approvals, credit analysis, and financial services. * Familiarity with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Proficient user of the Internet and cloud-based storage.Technical Skills* Proficient use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Proficient user of the Internet and cloud-based storage. * Familiarity with loan software and other financial services applications.
