Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Operations Specialist to at blithequark. As a Machine Learning Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for utilizing our internal information resources to deliver performant, flexible, and meaningful data-centered solutions across the business. You will create and document optimal processes, work with data, and understand the needs of end-users. Your primary focus will be on delivering enhanced performance of our current suite of voice and text-based NLP models, granularity of algorithmic direction, and flexibility of solutions across our core lines of business. Key Responsibilities Drive the coordination and democratization of new technologies that acquire agility and efficiency in data analysis methods Enhance models for deployment on cloud infrastructure and embedded hardware Design and develop AI models using the latest advancements in technology, with a focus on healthcare applications Work on NLP and AI architecture design, experimentation, QA/testing, and improving existing AI models Maintain model versions and metadata Develop production-level software for AI infrastructure (data pipelines, testing frameworks, model deployment, MLOPS) Optimize models for performance and scalability (for better latency and throughput) Monitor model performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting Design and validation of concepts for testing the latest AI and NLP, voice processing technologies, and perform A/B testing of candidate models Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to integrate ML models into production systems on the cloud and in embedded systems Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and related fields Support all initiatives in the Center of Excellence and contribute to high-impact issues Implement effective training strategies and integrate models into production systems Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in Machine Learning, NLP, and software development. The essential qualifications for this role include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in speech recognition, or High School diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in speech recognition 2+ years of industry experience in AI and NLP Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, deep learning, Pytorch, and Tensorflow, with excellent software development experience Automated deployment of trained AI models on cloud platforms Experience in speech processing, NLP, voice-to-text processing, speaker ID, speech sentiment processing, and translation At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross-functional team leadership experience Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state) Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field Experience in analysis, representation, and interpretation of model results Experience with Nuance speech recognition software, speech synthesis software, and voice biometrics software Working with cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud/Google Cloud Platform, with MLOps-related expertise for deployment in production Familiarity or fluency in Spanish Experience in the retail or healthcare industry Team management experience Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and deep learning frameworks like Pytorch and Tensorflow Excellent understanding of NLP and AI concepts, including speech recognition, voice-to-text processing, and sentiment analysis Experience with cloud platforms and automated deployment of AI models Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and models Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
