About the Role: Software Engineer – Customer Portal We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Application Engineering team and elevate the user experience across our public-facing website, blog, and other customer-facing portals. This is a high-impact and highly visible role, focused on delivering a seamless, intuitive, and engaging experience for our users. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in shaping how users interact with and perceive our platform, ensuring that our communication, design, and functionality align to deliver a world-class experience. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional partners in Engineering and Design to build fast, responsive, and elegant web experiences. A key responsibility will be revamping our customer portal and technical manual, ensuring it is intuitive, scalable, and supports both self-service and high-touch user journeys. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on delivering intuitive and user-friendly customer portals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build fast, responsive, and elegant web experiences that meet the needs of our users Revamp our customer portal and technical manual to ensure it is intuitive, scalable, and supports both self-service and high-touch user journeys Test, maintain, and improve websites, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure seamless user experiences Implement custom code in other digital properties and enable user engagement workflows, such as improving product documentation search functionality Work across the full stack, including frontend, backend, data management, and cloud & edge infrastructure, to deliver comprehensive solutions Possess a fundamental grasp of web user experience goals for site visitors and enable analytics and measurement across site experiences Develop and maintain our internal content distribution platform, ensuring it is efficient, scalable, and meets the needs of our users Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience 2+ years of web development experience, with a strong focus on full-stack development and a portfolio of projects that demonstrate your skills and expertise Full-stack coding review skills, from shell scripting to JavaScript to Python and C/C++, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, with experience building responsive sites across a variety of browsers and devices Mastery of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and SEO, with a strong understanding of how to optimize websites for search engines and improve user experience Strong QA mindset, with attention to detail and an appreciation for design and UX, and the ability to collaborate with designers and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on a variety of areas, ranging from systems programming, backend infrastructure, to full-stack applications, with a strong understanding of how to design and implement scalable and efficient systems Familiarity with Git or other version control software, with experience using tools like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket to manage code repositories and collaborate with team members Familiarity with React, Angular, or other industry-leading frameworks, with experience using these frameworks to build complex and scalable web applications Familiarity with web standards, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and SEO, with a strong understanding of how to optimize websites for search engines and improve user experience Skills and Competencies: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
