About blithequark's Operations and Customer CenterAs the heartbeat and operational hub of blithequark's global operations, the OCC is responsible for all strategic and tactical decision-making for any operational disruptions.Our team of aviation professionals collaborates to support teams by utilizing data to solve operational business challenges. Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Co-op student in blithequark's OCC, you will be assigned to various teams, including Load Control Center and Fuel System. Your responsibilities will include:### Load Control Center* Responsible for aircraft weight and balance, fuel distribution, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer and company specifications.* Work with the LCC's back office, creating applications and efficiencies to reduce workload for the frontline team. * Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. ### Fuel System* Responsible for developing strategies, tools, and sustainability policies for annual jet fuel consumption. * Research and develop methods to determine safe and efficient fuel loads, improve aircraft routing, and enhance cargo forecasting. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fuel-saving initiatives and reduce environmental impact.Requirements to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:### Minimum Qualifications* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related 4-year degree program. * Available to work for three alternating semesters in Atlanta, GA, Monday through Friday. * Must be enrolled in an educational institution throughout the co-op program. * Willingness and ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges.* Team-first attitude with a focus on team success. * Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills. * Proficiency in bolthires Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. * Comfortable working in both group and individual settings. * Prioritizes safety and security for oneself and others. * Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. * Must have a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. * Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.### Preferred Qualifications* Familiarity or experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Understanding of airline operations, scheduling, and planning. * History of leadership roles in student and community organizations. * Passionate about a future career in the aviation industry and serving blithequark's customers.
