You will work in a fast-paced environment, answering inbound calls and making outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to learn and understand the entire front-end process, from obtaining and verifying patient information to creating orders and scheduling equipment deliveries. You will also educate patients on their financial responsibilities and ensure that they have a seamless experience with our services.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current products and services offered by blithequark Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner, adhering to performance goals and standards Document all call information according to standard operating procedures Answer questions about products and services, retail stores, general service line information, and other topics as necessary Process orders, route calls to appropriate resources, and follow up on customer calls as needed Review all required documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness Accurately process, verify, and submit documentation and orders Complete insurance verification to determine patient eligibility, coverage, co-insurances, and deductibles Obtain pre-authorization from insurance carriers as required and process physician orders for approval and authorization Navigate multiple online EMR systems to obtain applicable documentation Enter and review all pertinent information in EMR systems, including authorizations and expiration dates Communicate with Customer Service and Management teams regarding trends, issues, and concerns Verify insurance carriers are listed in blithequark's database system and request updates as needed Contact patients to provide updates and offer additional options when documentation does not meet payer guidelines Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics Facilitate resolution on customer complaints and engage in problem-solving activities Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent One (1) year of work-related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center, or management Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of bolthires Office and the ability to learn new technologies Solid ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing environments Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Two (2) years of work-related experience, with one (1) year of exact job experience in a Medicare-certified environment General knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial health plan methodologies and documentation requirements Experience working with EMR systems and other healthcare software applications Certification in customer service or a related field, such as healthcare administration or medical billing Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing environments Strong technical skills, including proficiency in bolthires Office and the ability to learn new technologies Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and patient satisfactionCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.As a Customer Service Specialist, you will have access to a range of training and development opportunities, including:Comprehensive onboarding program, with training on our products, services, and systems Ongoing coaching and mentoring, with regular feedback and performance evaluations Opportunities for career advancement, with a clear path for professional growth and development Access to industry-leading training and development programs, with a focus on customer service, healthcare administration, and medical billing Work Environment and Company Culture At blithequark, we pride ourselves on our positive and supportive work environment.As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a difference in the lives of our patients.
