Your primary responsibilities will include taking orders, answering questions, handling complaints, and troubleshooting problems in a professional and empathetic manner. You will be an integral part of our team, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless and efficient solutions.Key Responsibilities Assist all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and effective way. Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded. Receive requests from multiple sources (phone, fax, e-Commerce, in-person) and complete necessary processes for equipment services, ensuring that all customer interactions are handled efficiently and effectively.Coordinate home equipment service requests with Dispatch for prompt delivery, ensuring that customers receive their equipment in a timely and convenient manner. Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing angry customers, as needed, to ensure that their concerns are addressed and resolved. Provide customers with product and service information, ensuring that they have the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions. Maintain current knowledge on Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment, ensuring that customers receive accurate and up-to-date information.Verify medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services, ensuring that customers receive the support and services they need. Follow policy and work instructions to ensure that the Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance, ensuring that customers receive timely and accurate billing. Understand and strive to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of support and service.Make sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs, as applicable, to ensure that customers receive the solutions they need to achieve their goals. Perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring that the team's objectives are met and exceeded. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service and support.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional support and solutions to customers. Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.Customer service orientation, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional support and solutions to customers. Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process and manage customer information and requests. Good data entry skills, with the ability to accurately and efficiently enter customer information and requests into our systems. Proficiency with computers, with strong typing skills and the ability to navigate multiple software applications and systems.
