Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Cargo Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring that their cargo is handled efficiently and effectively. This is an entry-level customer service agent position, and our leaders will provide mentorship to help prepare you to advance your career. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing excellent customer service to clients, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise Coordinating the transportation of cargo, including receiving, processing, and shipping freight Ensuring that all cargo is handled safely and securely, in accordance with blithequark's policies and procedures Working collaboratively with other teams, including operations, customer service, and sales, to ensure that cargo is transported efficiently and effectively Maintaining accurate records and reports, including cargo manifests, shipping documents, and inventory records Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of the air cargo industry Internal Movement Eligibility Internal employees at blithequark must meet certain eligibility requirements before applying for this position. You must be in good standing, which includes meeting performance standards and tenure requirements in your current role. Minimum Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications: Consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States Have a valid driver's license Possess basic digital literacy Ability to frequently lift tools, supplies, or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds Pass a physical ability test (PAT) Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel, subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE Preferred Qualifications The following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role: Previous cargo freight and warehouse operations experience Typing/computer skills are strongly preferred Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service to clients Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency Basic knowledge of air cargo operations, including cargo handling, transportation, and logistics Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and pass a physical ability test (PAT) Basic digital literacy, with the ability to use computer systems and software applications Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
