Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Chat Administrator to join our remote team on a part-time basis. As a Chat Administrator, you'll be responsible for moderating our official Discord server, ensuring a positive and respectful online environment for our users. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities - Moderate the Discord Server: Delete messages that violate our community guidelines, ban users with repeat offenses, and mute users who have violated the rules. - Investigate Reports: Look into user complaints about rule violations and take necessary actions to resolve the issue. - Manage Chat Moderators: Supervise and guide our team of chat moderators to ensure they're equipped to handle their roles effectively. - Server Management: Take charge of the Discord server when higher-level management is not present, making decisions to maintain a positive and respectful environment. Qualifications - Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old. - Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). - Experience: Previous experience in community management, customer service, or a related field is highly desirable. Essential Skills and Competencies - Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with users, moderators, and higher-level management. - Conflict Resolution: Experience in resolving conflicts and disputes in a fair and respectful manner. - Attention to Detail: Ability to carefully review messages and reports to ensure accurate decision-making. - Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Technical Skills: Familiarity with Discord and its features, as well as basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications - Previous Experience in Community Management: Experience in managing online communities, forums, or social media groups. - Customer Service Experience: Experience in providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. - Language Skills: Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
