The Legal Assistant maintains a close professional relationship with attorneys and manages their day-to-day activities. Job SummaryThe Legal Assistant:• provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor;• prepares correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents;• schedules medical appointments;• proofreads documents for spelling and grammar;• organizes and maintains files;• screens telephone calls and visitors;• reads and responds to mail.Skills & ExperienceRequirements• ABA-approved paralegal certificate OR Bachelor's Degree;• at least two years’ of workers' compensation experience;• strong written and oral communication;• highly organized;• MS Word proficiency;• type 50 wpm;• demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality.
