Sr. Technical Business AnalystJob Summary:The Sr. Technical Business Analyst partners with the Product Owner to lead software development efforts based on established business initiatives.The BA gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed objectives, and system requirements. This role is on an agile team, providing expertise to the engineering and QA teams regarding business process and requirements, as well as providing support to the product owner for user story development and grooming. Sr. Technical Business Analyst Essential Job Functions:• Collaborates with Product Owner to decompose large epics into features and user stories that aim to solve defined business goals• Will serve as day-to-day liaison between the Scrum Team and the Product Owner/Stakeholders• Attends standard scrum ceremonies, acting as the voice of the customer, while pushing for continuous improvement of the Scrum Team• Communicates business goals & expected outcomes to Scrum teams so they can produce innovative solutions that produce the desired outcome• Gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed objectives, and systems requirements• Produces and provides quality requirements to engineers by leading the creation and refinement of user stories, detailed acceptance criteria, and applicable testing criteria• Works to establish solutions in a collaborative environment, building relationships based on trust, rapport, and unified goals.• Ensures Scrum Team is prepared to execute development sprints by clarifying questions, understand impact analysis, and backlog management. • Applies different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engages team-members effectively• Strong interpersonal skills to partner with technical and non-technical team members alike• With minimal direction, the BA researches applicable problems or issues, recommending a course of action to Product Owner for resolution• With minimal assistance, uses analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex business and/or data problems• Provides input to root cause analysis after issues have surfaced as a result of work that has passed through the team and into the production environmentSr.Technical Business Analyst Qualifications, Education &Experience:• Must have previous experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner for software engineering teams• 3+ years of experience as an analyst, either within a business discipline or IT• 2+ year of experience operating in and Agile delivery process• Extensive experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria to express requirements• Experience providing product management support such as prioritization and backlog grooming• Ability to manage tasks using the organization’s Product Management methodology• Ability to host and facilitate standard scrum ceremonies as needed• Knowledge of software development practice, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and work experience• Demonstrated aptitude for logical thinking and the ability to see the larger picture• Knowledge of technical/business environment• Ability to solicit and collect application and technology requirements• Must be technical in nature, with expertise in SQL and API tools like Postman, SoapUI• Experience with diagramming data flows and business processes using diagramming tools such as LucidChart and/or Miro• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to self-motivate and work independently with limited supervision• Strong organization and time management skills• Experience with JIRA, Aha!, requirements management tools• Staffing Industry experience, a plus• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business-related disciplineEmploybridge offers a competitive base salary plus monthly bonus potential!Additional benefits package for full time colleagues that includes:• Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision benefits starting on the first of the month following hire date• 8 Paid Holidays per year• 2 Floating Holidays per year• Paid Time Off• 401(k)• Wellness Program• Parental LeaveThe anticipated annual base salary for this position in the US is $100,000 to $110,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
