Salesforce Administrator (Nonprofit & Marketing Cloud Focus, Mid-Atlantic)
About the jobInformated Software Solutions, based in Rockville, Maryland, has supported the Smithsonian Institution for over 20 years. We’re expanding to help this great organization enhance its Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud platform. This full-time position can be remote, hybrid, or onsite in Washington, D.C. Occasional meetings at Smithsonian facilities may be required. Preferred candidates are located in the Mid-Atlantic area and within approximately a four-hour range of Washington, D.C. Core Responsibilities• System Administration: Administer Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds and Experience Cloud, including managing security, objects, fields, and declarative automations.• Marketing Cloud Administration: Administer and utilize Marketing Cloud to its full potential, specifically managing automation and personalization features. • Nonprofit Cloud Management: Administer the Nonprofit Cloud environment (Nonprofit Success Pack), managing configuration and automation to support fundraising and donor engagement. • Experience Cloud Configuration: Manage and build digital experiences and community portals using standard Experience Cloud site builder tools. • Data Management: Manage data migration and maintain data integrity and quality within the system.• User Support & Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, provide ongoing support, and deliver training. • Process Automation: Configure guided processes and workflows to streamline business operations (utilizing declarative tools like OmniStudio where applicable for process guidance). • Documentation: Document configurations, technical designs, and processes for knowledge sharing and team continuity. Required Skills• Salesforce Platform Expertise: Extensive experience in administering Salesforce, specifically using declarative features, security configurations, and maintenance of the data model (objects/fields).• Marketing Cloud: Strong proficiency in Marketing Cloud administration, including automation and integration capabilities. • Nonprofit SectorExperience: Hands-on experience with Nonprofit Cloud (NPSP) administration and customization tailored to the nonprofit sector. • Experience Cloud: Proven experience managing community portals and sites using Salesforce Experience Cloud. • Declarative Automation: Proficiency in building guided processes and business workflows. • Data Proficiency: Strong skills in data quality management and executing data migration workflows.Certifications (Required)• Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator (required)• Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator II (plus)• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator (plus)• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Consultant• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Foundations (MC-101)Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in computer or related engineering fields or significant related work experience required.• Salesforce Administrator Certification (required). Marketing Cloud Certification is a plus. • 6+ years of Salesforce administration with demonstrated delivery of enhancements and solutions. • Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or museum/nonprofit environments preferred. • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a standard federal background check• Candidates in the mid-Atlantic states are preferred.
