CCL Global is seeking an experienced Pipe Stress Engineer for a 3–6 month contract supporting the design and engineering of major petrochemical, LNG, and refining facilities. The role involves performing piping stress analysis and coordinating with various engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform piping stress analysis using Bentley AutoPIPE
- Analyze piping systems for thermal expansion, sustained, occasional, and dynamic loading in accordance with applicable industry codes
- Develop and review stress reports, support recommendations, and engineering calculations
- Coordinate closely with piping designers, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and project teams to resolve stress-related design issues
- Ensure piping systems comply with project specifications and applicable industry standards, including ASME B31.3 and B31.1 where applicable
- Provide technical support throughout the design phase and respond to client or project engineering comments
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of pipe stress engineering experience supporting industrial facilities
- Demonstrated experience using Bentley AutoPIPE in a project environment
- Strong background supporting the design of petrochemical, LNG, refinery, or other heavy industrial process facilities
- Thorough understanding of piping design principles, support design, and applicable industry codes and standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
