About the Role of Student Success CoachThe Student Success Coach position at blithequark is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and dedicated to helping others succeed. As a Student Success Coach, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to students throughout their program, ensuring they have a quality learning experience.This role involves working closely with students over the phone and responding to inquiries through our systems, all from the comfort of your home office. With a scheduled 40-hour workweek, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, as long as you are available during our hours of operation (Monday-Thursday 8am to 7pm CDT, and Friday & Saturday 8am to 5pm CDT). Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a high-quality learning experience for all students.Manage a group of assigned students, coaching each through their degree program with proactive and timely outreach. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success. Provide a trusted and supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance on how to utilize available resources to maximize each student's success. Become a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support, empowering students to achieve their career goals.Act as a liaison between students and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and support. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning (or international equivalent), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, with the ability to learn technical skills quickly.Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner, to provide top-notch customer support. A strong customer support focus and attention to detail, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively. Familiarity with academic support services and resources, with the ability to think critically and creatively to support student success.Certification as aProfessional Resume Writer or willingness to become certified through our paid certification program.
