We are now seeking an experienced and compassionateRemote Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding healthcare experiences.Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts within blithequark's Client Partner's Self Pay, Self-Pay After Insurance, and/or Payment Plan Accounts Receivable. Your primary objective will be to achieve rapid, compliant, and patient-centric resolution of balances, maximizing blithequark's Client Partner's financial performance. You will also field inbound phone calls, providing support to the Client's Call Center functional area or following up on assigned Self Pay account balances.As a patient-centric customer service representative, you will balance speed and efficiency with empathy, accuracy, and a commitment to creating a thorough, positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Field inbound patient calls, addressing their concerns and providing personalized support in a professional and empathetic manner Manage assigned inventory through the proper and timely cycling of Dispositional Segments within blithequark's software solution(s) Consistently meet the Total Touches per Day bolthires (for both Patients and Guarantors) as determined by the assigned Segment of A/R and other Client nuances and considerations Accurately set up Payment Plans with Patients per Client guidelines, ensuring seamless and efficient payment processes Secure Payments and Partial Payments with Patients per Client guidelines, driving financial performance and minimizing outstanding balances Perform Account research and resolution on Self Pay, FAP, and Insurance topics in a timely and results-oriented fashion, utilizing your knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry best practices Consistently document all Patient encounters in blithequark's source system and/or workflow solution, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records Perform initial assessments for Financial Assistant Program(s) per Client guidelines, identifying opportunities to support patients in need Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of customer service skills, healthcare knowledge, and technical expertise.The following qualifications are essential: Patient-Centric Customer Service: A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting, with a strong focus on empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution Empathy:The ability to understand and appreciate the perspectives of patients, families, and healthcare professionals, demonstrating a genuine commitment to their well-being and satisfaction Multi-system toggling and organizational efficiency: Experience working with multiple software systems, prioritizing tasks, and managing competing demands in a fast-paced environment Documentation, written and verbal communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to accurately document patient interactions, create clear and concise reports, and communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders Proficiency in bolthires Office Products: Familiarity with bolthires Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software systems and technologies HIPAA and related Privacy and Security Acts and Regulations: A solid understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a proven ability to self-motivate, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance processes, including claims processing, payment posting, and account reconciliation Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS) Certification in customer service, healthcare, or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Education and Training A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.However, we encourage applicants with higher education or relevant training in healthcare, customer service, or a related field to apply.
