We're excited to announce an excellent opportunity for an Experienced Payments Analyst to in a remote capacity. As a Payments Analyst, you'll play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and financial excellence by managing and resolving payment-related issues. Key Responsibilities: Driving Excellence in Payments Processing • Interact daily with Verizon's largest customers to research, apply, transfer, and reconcile their payments sent by check, ACH, and wire. • Manage and research Lockbox for check payments received, ensuring timely and accurate processing. • Process and apply ACH payments, and receive, post, and apply wire payments within 2 hours of receipt. • Research unapplied cash and determine the proper billing system and customer account or process as escheatment. • Understand different customer types and business areas to understand payment requirements and tendencies. • Partner with internal stakeholder groups to resolve escalations and enforce change management. • Continuously monitor Accounts Receivable for delinquencies and reach out to Strategic Partners to ensure customers remain in good standing. • Process customer refunds and partner with Cash Accounting to continuously reconcile our cash account. • Manage master data for Verizon retail locations in Great Plains (GP) and Verizon Location Manager (VLM). • Monitor and manage credit limits and receivables coming due to take proactive action to ensure there are no service disruptions to our customers. • Document processes and assist with audit requests, identifying process enhancement opportunities and delivering process change to customers and/or the business. Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Expertise We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need to have: • A Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience. • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is highly desirable. • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems and tools. • Understanding of different payment types (such as check, ACH, wire, etc.) and the rules for each. • Experience working with Banking partners and/or the Banking & Payments industry is a plus. • Ability to build meaningful relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods. Preferred Qualifications: The Experience and Skills That Will Set You Apart While not essential, the following qualifications will make you an even more competitive candidate: • Experience with Great Plains or other financial systems. • Understanding of digital finance tools and the ability to provide ideas for process enhancements. • A proven track record of identifying issues and driving them through to resolution. • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of customer interaction.
