ResponsibilitiesAs a Network Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for:* Designing, configuring, and deploying network infrastructure (LAN/WAN) for our Call Centers and Data Centers* Performing hardware refreshes (primarily Cisco routers, switches, firewalls)* Implementing remote access VPN solutions, site-to-site VPNs, GRE tunnels, and DMVPN* Configuring firewall access requests* Completing routing changes* Racking, cabling, and labeling in the Data Center as needed* Creating and maintaining diagrams and documentation* Working ticket requests* Providing on-shift outage escalation support from our NOC* Participating in on-call support coverageQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:* CCNP and above, or equivalent experience* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills* A thorough understanding of LAN and WAN technologies* Advanced troubleshooting and configuration experience with routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (vPC, Etherchannel, Stackwise, VSS), and firewalls* Experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches* Familiarity with VRF configurations* SD-WAN and ACI experience would be a plusSkills and CompetenciesTo excel in this role, you will need to possess:* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams* Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to design and implement network infrastructure* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines* Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentationCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt blithequark, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.As a Network Engineer, you will have access to:* Ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge* Mentorship and leadership from experienced professionals in the industry* Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth within the organization* A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time offWork Environment and Company CultureAs a Network Engineer at blithequark, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that values innovation, creativity, and customer satisfaction.Our work environment is fast-paced and challenging, with opportunities to work on a wide range of projects and initiatives.
