Job Summary We are seeking an experienced international freight forwarding professional to at blithequark. As a key member of our ocean product development team, you will be responsible for executing strategies that support the growth of our ocean volumes and enhance the development of our ocean product. You will work closely with the Managing Director of Ocean, as well as our global trade lane team, sales, and operations to communicate direction and deliverables.Your expertise will be crucial in supporting carrier development, pricing, analyzing carrier service, routings, carrier performance, and resolving carrier service issues. Key Responsibilities Implement and communicate strategies to increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, enhance service, and support adherence to our preferred network Assist in implementing pricing programs and review volume targets to develop an ocean strategy that enhances the effectiveness of sales and achieves expectations of account development and yield enhancement Communicate both internally and externally to outline strategy, market conditions, and work closely with the Managing Director, Ocean, and the global trade lane team to deliver results Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded, and assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity Manage the annual budget, control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets Work closely with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product, and support sales and operations as needed Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and at least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, analyzing ocean rates, and routing.Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus. You will also need to be familiar with bolthires Office applications and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
