Our programs include food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, services for domestic violence survivors, resources for refugees, and support for youth experiencing homelessness. Your role will be to provide specialized assistance to individuals and families seeking services, helping them navigate our programs and connect with community resources.Key Responsibilities Provide customer service to a high volume of diverse customers, demonstrating active listening and compassion Assist individuals and families in accessing life-changing programs, such as food benefits, cash assistance, and childcare assistance Provide information and referrals to community resources, both in-person and over the phone Support the day-to-day functions of the office, including distribution of mail and case transfers Contribute to a welcoming environment, greeting and assisting customers with a trauma-informed approach Work collaboratively with the team to rotate tasks and support the business needs of the office Provide culturally appropriate services, recognizing and valuing the worth of children, individuals, families, and communities Essential Qualifications and Attributes We are looking for candidates with experience providing customer service to a diverse population, preferably in a human services setting.You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to adapt your communication style to explain complex information to diverse audiences. You should also have experience working with computer systems, including bolthires programs and web-based platforms, and be able to learn new systems quickly. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a human services setting College-level courses may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities, veterans, and LGBTQIA2S community members Knowledge of community resources and social services Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you should have excellent customer service skills, including active listening and empathy.You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. You should also be able to work collaboratively with a team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $3,429 - $4,622 per month, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings and paid time off.
