Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be responsible for:* Customer Experience+ Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.+ Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. + Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. * Operations+ Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. + Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items. + Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested. + Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.+ Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records. + Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader. + Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss. + Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. + Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. + Complete resets and revisions as directed.* Additional Responsibilities+ Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures. + Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment. + Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine. + Assume web pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring orders, filling orders, and delivering orders to customers. + Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.+ Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. + Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned. Essential Qualifications* 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail or similar environment. * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods. * Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications* Experience working in a customer-facing role in a retail or similar environment. * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment. * Experience with digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine. * Ability to speak multiple languages.
