Job Overview The primary function of this role is to answer incoming calls from providers, members, and health plans, addressing a wide range of topics from benefit information to problem resolution. As a Clinical Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, utilizing proprietary systems and resources to resolve issues efficiently. This position requires a strong ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, and to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional, accurate, and timely manner Communicate professionally at all times, utilizing strong verbal communication skills to de-escalate conflicts and provide excellent customer service Ascertain the nature of the call and record information in proprietary systems, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation Look up caller information using proprietary systems and provide information to the caller, utilizing strong analytical skills to resolve issues Forward logs requiring further research to the appropriate department, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution Utilize appropriate resources, including online resources, to provide timely responses and resolve issues efficiently Manage time effectively to ensure calls are answered within required timeframes and follow-up is done in a timely manner Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all legal and compliance requirements Complete all required trainings and attend weekly staff meetings to discuss issues and foster teamwork among department personnel Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: High School Diploma or equivalent required, with 1 year of experience performing customer service duties; inbound call center experience preferred Basic computer skills, with the ability to utilize and maneuver in multiple systems during a single interaction Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and colleagues Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to identify critical core competencies based on success factors and organizational environment Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task, and manage time in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated accuracy and productivity in a changing environment with constant interruptions Demonstrated ability to analyze information, problems, issues, situations, and procedures to develop effective solutions Ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare concepts Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide effective solutions Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to document issues and resolutions accurately and efficiently Career Growth and Development Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
