Key Responsibilities As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, your daily tasks will be physically demanding and require attention to detail. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, as well as guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions to ensure timely connections.Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions. Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination. You will work in a fast-paced environment, often in harsh weather conditions, and be required to wear company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety. Your ability to prioritize safety and security, as well as your attention to detail and physical stamina, will be essential in this role.Scheduling and Work EnvironmentYour scheduling will be based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. Each station is different, with its own unique flight schedule, so you will need to be flexible and adaptable. You will be working in a dynamic environment, often under time pressure, and will need to be able to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
