Job Description:Norwich University's College of Graduate & Continuing Studies seeks individuals qualified to develop and/or teach online asynchronous master's-level courses in history. The program offers small class sizes tailored to the needs of adult learners and places great emphasis on a positive student experience and high student achievements.The teaching of courses and periodic updating of course content is particularly needed in the following areas:• American Colonial, Revolutionary, and Early National History• Nineteenth Century American History• World History - all eras• Chinese Military History• Non-Western Military HistoryFaculty may also be called upon to direct student historiographical reading, research, or internships for student capstone papers and projects. Course development and adjunct teaching are performed on a contract basis.Norwich provides training to new course developers and adjunct instructors. Course developers work as part of a team that includes instructional designers, media specialists, digital librarians, and academic program leaders.
