Space Planner/Interior Designer

Location: Primarily remote, with occasional meetings at ICE field offices. Position Type: Full-time Job Description: The Space Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing space management, planning, and execution for ICE facilities. This includes end-to-end project management, ensuring efficient space allocation, compliance with GSA standards, and effective coordination with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Manage 20-25 facilities projects at a time, covering footprints between 150,000 sq. ft. and 250,000 sq. ft. • Develop space requirements and ensure compliance with ICE and GSA regulations. • Support project execution staff in managing projects from requirements gathering to closeout. • Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings for compliance with ICE, GSA, and IBC standards. • Coordinate feasibility studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for space projects. • Ensure compliance with federal space allocation and utilization policies. • Work closely with ICE Program Offices, GSA, and external contractors to ensure smooth project execution. • Prepare and manage Space Request Packages, SF-81 forms, RWAs, and Occupancy Agreements. • Track lease agreements, funding approvals, and compliance documentation. Qualifications: • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in space planning, real estate management, or facilities operations (federal experience preferred). • Knowledge of GSA leasing, federal space acquisition processes, and real estate portfolio management. • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, real estate, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience may be considered). • Familiarity with RPMS, AutoCAD, and property management systems. • Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
