The Customer Growth Applied Science Team Our team is at the forefront of developing and deploying state-of-the-art AI/ML models in growth marketing and demand partnerships. We're responsible for delivering profitable growth to blithequark by leveraging the power of data, experimentation, and innovation. Our work is guided by a deep understanding of our users, their needs, and the complexities of the home services market. The Challenge As a Senior Applied Scientist on our team, you'll be tackling some of the most pressing challenges in growth marketing and demand partnerships. You'll be working with vast amounts of user data, developing in-app features for onboarding, engagement, and reactivation, and experimenting with new approaches to drive business growth. You'll be pioneering the use of generative AI models and agentic tools to empower marketers and drive business outcomes. What You'll Do As a Senior Applied Scientist, you'll be responsible for: * Initiating and driving applied science initiatives to completion, with a focus on business impact * Architecting and deploying machine learning systems to production * Designing and executing experiments, collecting and analyzing data to characterize our product and marketing * Analyzing a wide variety of data: structured and unstructured, observational and experimental * Collaborating with engineering, marketing, and economists to use sound statistical practices * Maintaining the right balance between speed of execution and scientific rigor when designing solutions * Technical mentorship of other applied scientists What You'll Bring To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring: * 5+ years of experience developing production-grade machine learning models * Ability to effectively read, write, and debug code in programming languages such as Python * Good knowledge of probability and statistics, including experimental design, optimization, and causal inference * Experience with technical mentorship of other applied scientists * Demonstrated ability to create and drive technical and impactful roadmaps for the business, and lead seamless execution * Ability to break down complex problems rigorously and understand the tradeoffs necessary to deliver impactful projects * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to cross-functional partners of various technical levels What We Offer At blithequark, we're committed to creating a work environment that's inclusive, supportive, and empowering.
