Remote QuickBooks Online Bookkeeper – Interviewing ASAP $25‑$27/hour (W2). 5‑month contract with potential to extend. Must be located in the U.S. and work Pacific Time Zone hours (non‑negotiable). W2 only – no C2C, 1099, or recruiter solicitations. Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented Remote Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online Expert) to on a contract basis. This is a fully remote, customer‑facing role requiring strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Conduct professional client interactions via video and collaboration tools. • Manage multiple client accounts and ensure accuracy within established deadlines. • Review and process financial transactions per client service agreements. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex bookkeeping issues, including: • Financial‑statement errors • Chart‑of‑accounts cleanup • Sales‑tax discrepancies • Unreconciled A/P or A/R • Payroll or merchant‑services issues • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting workpapers. • Maintain organized client documentation and ensure timely follow‑up. • Research accounting regulations as needed to support client inquiries. • Collaborate across internal service lines as needed – flexibility is key. Must‑Have Qualifications (Non‑Negotiable) • 3+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience. • 1+ year of QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience. • QuickBooks Online Level 1 (L1) certification – proof of active certification required before start date. • Proven ability to evaluate and resolve complex bookkeeping challenges. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer‑service orientation required (live video interaction with clients). • Reliable high‑speed internet (DSL, cable, or fiber). • Availability: part‑time or full‑time (minimum 27 hours per week). • Must be located in the United States and available to work Pacific Time Zone hours. Interview & Evaluation Process • Participate in a video interview (via Zoom or Microsoft Teams). • Complete a QuickBooks/bookkeeping skills assessment. • Furnish professional references upon request. • Provide proof of QuickBooks Online Level 1 certification before the start date.
