[Remote] Pharmacy Technician - Billing Adjudication

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is a long-term care pharmacy that specializes in providing care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for their 3rd Party Billing Team to adjudicate insurance claims, manage notifications of insurance issues, and communicate with caregivers. Responsibilities• Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections in multi-state environment• Properly handle order exceptions such as refill-too-soon, invalid orders, etc.• Working with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and obtain prior authorizations• Manage routine notification of insurance issues and communicate with caregivers• Stay updated on current Medicare/Medicaid policies and common insurance practices• Work with others to resolve common coverage issues or concerns. Skills• Working knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy environment• 1+ year of recent experience with FrameworkLTC• Must have or be willing to obtain Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician License• Type an average of 50 wpm• Excellent phone skills, verbal and written communication skills and active listening• Proficient with bolthires Office Suite or related software (Outlook, Excel)• Comfortable making phone calls and can handle difficult conversations• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions• 3+ years’ experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy environment• Excellent problem-solving abilities• Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment• Team player who is willing to assist other departments when needed• Communicate effectively with leadership and peers• Available for occasional overtimeBenefits• Competitive compensation• Comprehensive healthcare benefits• 401(k) retirement plan• Paid time off• An awesome work environment• Opportunities to advance and grow your career• And More!Company Overview• Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is a long-term care pharmacy specializing in serving individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities.
