The role involves developing and implementing metadata management strategies, overseeing metadata creation, and providing training to teams on metadata tools and best practices. Responsibilities• Develop and implement metadata management strategies, including defining metadata standards, naming conventions, and business definitions in line with organizational policies.• Oversee the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of metadata across multiple platforms and systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Facilitate data discovery by improving metadata quality and consistency, and support data governance initiatives through metadata management. • Assist in defining and managing data lineage, identifying relationships between data elements across systems, and supporting impact analysis. • Provide training and support to teams on metadata tools and best practices, promoting a data-centric culture within the organization.• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, architects, and technology teams to ensure alignment on metadata management practices and drive data stewardship.
