[Remote] Mid Ruby Developer

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Alta Technology Group is seeking several Mid Level Ruby Developers for a 100% remote project with the Department of Veteran's Affairs. The role involves creating software for various IT applications and ensuring solutions fit within the current architecture while considering future enhancements. Responsibilities• Analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you're developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements• Work both independently and as part of a larger teamSkills• Bachelors Degree in technical field or IT/Computer Science field is a must• US C/GC work auth• Experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies• Experience with Software Development and Implementation• Software development skills, including design, development, testing, deployment and support• Experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.• 5 years• Experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture and object-oriented software design: Ruby on Rails, REST, SOAP Web Services, JavaScript, React, Redux, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL, postgres)• 5 years (mid)• Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance• Experience leading and mentoring junior developers• Experience with containerized applications and management systems such as Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift• Experience with BPM tools such as Camunda• Experience with bolthires/CD process tools like Jenkins• Experience with any AWS technologies• Experience working with Ruby on Rails libraries, such as like RSpec• Ability to write clean Ruby code• Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN, and Mercurial• Experience with React and Redux• Experience with frontend testing frameworks, i.e., Jest• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM• Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3Company Overview• Alta Technology Group is a staffing firm that offers workforce solutions and staff augmentation services.It was founded in 2015, and is headquartered in Red Bank, New Jersey, USA, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
