As required by the Colorado and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:Minimum salary range for candidates interested in this full-time position is between $50,000 - $55,000This position is eligible to participate in an annual sales incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.Role DescriptionPearson's Higher Education North America Sales team is seeking Business Development Representatives (BDR) that bring high energy, initiative and seek to be on the front lines of driving and supporting teaching and learning innovation, and helping institutions meet the necessary educational outcomes of access, achievement and affordability to increase student success. Each BDR is responsible for driving sales by expanding the reach of Pearson's portfolio of digital, print and service solutions through opening faculty relationships.BDRs work collaboratively with field sales and district managers to with a specific focus on growing Pearson relationships and sales in targeted regions and disciplines. To be successful in this role, you must possess a need for achievement, have demonstrated success in exceeding goals, be comfortable with digital media, and have a passion for education. This is a remote/home-based position with limited travel to college campuses or national meetings. Relocation package not available for this position.Each BDR reports into a VP and will:Qualify inbound marketing and web leads. Qualify and contact approximately 100 prospects per day to schedule discovery calls and demos (meetings) for sales reps. Conduct initial conversations with prospects to qualify their needs and problems statements. Generate leads through cold calling, social media, and email. Leverage marketing campaigns (e.g., webinar, direct email) to book discover calls. Input prospect qualification data and communications in OneCRM. Execute outbound playbooks at scale, setting up qualified new business opportunities for our sales reps.Work closely with marketing and sales teams on call strategies and messaging. Ability to communicate to internal stakeholders the voice of the customer, to drive a customer-centric approach within Sales. Contribute to a customer-centered organizational environment by providing internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing and Partnerships teams) with regular market updates, reporting metrics and insights. Sharing your experience, learning, and knowledge with the team in a collaborative manner. Have a maniacal focus on outcomes and impact.Closely monitor metrics with the aim to increase productivity, contribution to pipeline, and bookings.
