If you're ready to bring your passion to a team that sees beyond limitations, we want to hear from you.The Medical Writer is responsible for the development of scientific and medical content in a variety of formats (slide presentations, meeting summaries, website content, etc.); accurate interpretation of data; presentation of medical content, including clinical discussions about treatment options with clients and HCPs; efficient planning and organization; establishing effective working interactions with internal Editorial, Creative, Account Services, and Project Management team members; and efficiently producing high-quality deliverables.Position matriculation includesSenior Medical Writer, Associate Medical Director, Medical Director, andSenior Medical Director. Position Requirements:· PhD, MD, PharmD, or advanced nursing degreeExperience:· Developing PPT presentations about clinical or scientific topics, analyzing clinical trial data, summarizing scientific literature about a specific disease state or other topic, or other medical writing experience· Presenting scientific overviews or independent research to peers or at conferences, with publication of scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals a plus· Prior experience developing content at a promotional medical communications agency is preferred (can include internship or freelance experience)PositionResponsibilities:Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization, including but not limited to:· Serve as a therapeutic category expert while working in cross-functional teams· Participate in internal meetings, attend and participate in external client/HCP meetings, take meeting notes, and apply feedback/decisions to post-meeting deliverables· Create accurate scientific/medical writing for a variety of medical communication and promotional projects· Translate scientific concepts into promotional content in collaboration with copy writers, creative directors, and medical directors· Research (eg, literature and competitor searches)· Stay up-to-date on scientific developments and their medical implications· Understand the clinical utility of therapeutic choices within disease states· Ensure quality standards of promotional medical writing· Support new business initiatives· Represent the agency with the highest standards in all endeavors· Regular engagement with pharmaceutical clients and HCPs, with support from colleagues at Fingerpaint Medical· Willingness to travel (~5-10%)Talent & Knack:The candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:· Excellent writing abilities (clear, concise, creative)· Diligent problem-solving skills· Ability to consistently apply critical thinking· Expertise with creating content in PowerPoint· Excellent communication skills· Ability to understand and consistently apply marketing strategies when developing content for promotional medical education· Ability to apply constructive feedback into individual projects and more globally in the course of professional development· Ability to handle multiple timelines· Proficiency in bolthires Word, Excel, Outlook, and reference management software (e.g., Endnote, Reference Manager)Don’t meet every single requirement?That’s okay!
