Technical Operations Engineer - Job ID 26DEV401- Remote (US Based) Job type: Full-time employee Location(s): Remote (CT, MA, NH, NJ, NY, Eastern PA or VT, USA). Responsibilities (What you'll do) • Own infrastructure across all of our environments from production to dev • Build a cloud-agnostic Infrastructure-As-Code approach structure as we expand • Facilitate and carry out deployments across all of our environments • Contribute to the infrastructure architecture and best practices for the applications we deploy • Write software tools and systems to automate, explore and report on our infrastructure • Automate collection and analysis of metrics from distributed systems to assist in performance tuning and fault finding • Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used by every engineering team (e.g. dynamic configuration, secrets storage, container orchestration, etc) • Provision accounts and equipment • Compose and maintain detailed technical specifications and diagrams • Perform root-cause analyses of under-performing infrastructure • Dive into code and logs with engineers as technical challenges arise • Develop proofs of concepts as needed • Keep current with engineering best practices, design principles, technology, security, and compliance in order to apply that knowledge to all of the responsibilities above Requirements (What we're looking for) • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar engineering major. • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Operations Engineer or in a similar technical operations role (e.g. DevOps, NetOps, SecOps, SysAdmin, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer) • High proficiency engineering with Infrastructure-as-Code principles • Experience engineering infrastructure for a SaaS product/platform • Experience engineering cloud-based infrastructure • Experience engineering infrastructure using message/event queues • Experience engineering infrastructure using containers • Experience engineering with Terraform and Ansible • Experience with multiple frameworks, databases, services, and tools • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience working as a member of a highly-collaborative engineering team • Experience communicating directly with clients • Valid US work authorization • Located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, [Eastern] Pennsylvania Bonus Points • Strong foundation in Information Security • HealthTech experience • Master of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar engineering major • Experience engineering infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure • Experience with agile/scrum or kanban process methodology • Working proficiency of Spanish or Ukrainian language skills
