Yorkshire Global Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure. The role involves developing Infrastructure as Code, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring cloud security best practices are followed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates to automate cloud provisioning and deployments
- Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI to enable automated application delivery
- Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE) in production environments
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network security, compliance, vulnerability management, and identity access controls
- Monitor cloud environments using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack, ensuring high availability and proactive incident resolution
- Configure and manage networking components including VPC/VNet, Load Balancers, VPNs, DNS, Firewalls, CDN, and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency by implementing auto-scaling, resource monitoring, and FinOps best practices
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to design cloud-native architectures, migrate on-premises workloads, and support enterprise modernization initiatives
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, document cloud architectures, and ensure adherence to industry standards, governance policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements
Skills
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of containerization technologies
- Understanding of cloud security best practices
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Knowledge of networking components
