Precision Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in Azure cloud technologies and Snowflake Data Warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Azure-based data pipelines
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake
- Implement data integration solutions for structured and semi-structured data
- Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and scalability
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance
- Develop reusable data engineering frameworks and best practices
- Collaborate with Architects, Data Scientists, BI teams, and Business Stakeholders
- Monitor production pipelines and resolve performance issues
- Participate in architecture reviews and mentor junior data engineers
Skills
- 12+ years of total IT experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Big Data technologies
- Active Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification – Mandatory
- Active SnowPro Core Certification – Mandatory
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure Key Vault, and Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Performance Tuning, Data Sharing, and Secure Views
- Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Dimensional Modeling
- Experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Apache Airflow
- Experience integrating REST APIs, JSON, XML, and semi-structured data sources
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, and Jenkins
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Security, and Performance Optimization
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
- Experience with Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, and Streaming Data Pipelines
- Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Exposure to AI/ML data engineering workflows
- Experience in Banking, Healthcare, Insurance, or Retail domains
