The Architectural Sales Representative will work closely with architectural professionals, advising on the design and specification of door openings while cultivating relationships and driving brand demand.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers
- Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications
- Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications
- Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services
- Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process
- Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool
- You will work alongside a committed team of professional sales representatives who are focused on providing specification support and services to many of the top architectural firms in the country
- You will serve as the point-of-contact for the architect's education, specification, client satisfaction and technical support needs
- You will be responsible for architectural development, project tracking and ultimately gaining approval for our internal team of writers to prepare Division 08 door and hardware specification documents
- You will promote adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals for value-added professional services

- You can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations
- Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma
- At least 1 - 2 years' industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management, will be considered in lieu of degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting
- Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus
