The Lead Data Architect will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable application architecture, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the integrity and performance of the application infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute architectural strategies aligned with project objectives
- Lead and supervise architectural initiatives within assigned projects or areas
- Develop architectural designs and solutions, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices
- Mentor and guide junior and senior architects in project-related tasks and skill development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective architectural solutions
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, IT teams, and management, to understand needs and drive alignment with business and development teams
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Assess new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance application processes and recommend their adoption where applicable
- Architecture and design reviews: Play a key leadership role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes. Actively lead and participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for Healthcare Business Unit while keeping in mind the complexities of our IT landscape
Skills
- 10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles (technical lead, solution architect, enterprise architect)
- Strong experience in Java, Python, Spring Boot, and front-end frameworks (Angular/JavaScript)
- Strong experience in understanding non-functional requirements (SLA, response time, real time, near real time, multi-threading) and ability to create designs that meet the non-functional requirements
- 5+ years of full stack development experience
- 5+ years of SQL, NoSQL, Redis and any relevant database experience
- 5+ years in cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), microservices, and API design
- Experience with DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git) and Kafka
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, especially Generative AI and LLMs
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, information systems or related field or equivalent experience required
- Experience in healthcare domain
- Full-stack development experience
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones
